"After years of killing myself with punishing cardio regimes, which I forced myself to do most days, I started to focus more on strength training and weights about 5 years ago, in my mid-thirties. It was like someone had flipped a switch and after years of dragging myself through 10k runs or spin classes, I was suddenly loving every minute and couldn't wait to get back into the gym. It helped that I was getting fitter and stronger than I've ever been but actually loving exercise was a revelation. As someone who has a history of food and body issues, finding an approach which was about what I could do and getting stronger, not how I looked and obsessed with weight loss has, genuinely, been life changing. Lorraine completely understands all of this. She listens to why I want to train, what I want to achieve and how I want to get there and puts it together with her amazing supportive and motivating style. She never fails to push me hard but it always feels like we're doing it together and she is with me all the way.
I have a job where I spend my whole day making decisions and supporting other people to deliver their best.
